Attempting to skateboard in a city can be daunting at times.

The police, private security, and cornballs of all ages stand in the way of what we see as harmless fun, and it takes a surplus of wit and tenacity to get around their roadblocks.

In the clip below, a recording of DJ Funkmaster Flex’s rant against DJ Clue over the use of an exclusive track, and the accompanying tough talk on twitter provides the backdrop to a series of encounters with people trying (and failing) to hold us back. Maybe there are more parallels between hip hop and skateboarding than originally thought.
